Bienvenidos / Welcome

Querida familia y amigos:

Disfruten!

Dear family and friends:

Welcome to Oaxaca. And welcome to our home. We are honored and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. Oaxaca has so much to offer and we want you to get the most out of your stay. This Website is designed to acquaint you with some of the best options available for lodging, restaurants, cultural venues and historical sites.

In each section we’ve provided links to facilitate your research and help you to make choices. With regard to accommodations, we would recommend that you book well in advance as June gets pretty busy and the City tends to fill up on weekends. Inside, you will find a selection of excellent hotels, all within an easy walk to points of interest in the historic town center.

Oaxaca is indeed a walking town, so bring comfortable shoes, or sandals and a hat for the sun. June happens to be a lovely time of year. With the rainy season just beginning, there will be a 50/50 chance of afternoon showers. However, they are usually brief as well as refreshing. Temperatures are in the 70s and low 80s during the day and can drop to the mid-sixties at night. You won’t need to pack more than a light jacket.

Internationally, Oaxaca is also known for its wonderful food. In the restaurant section, we have listed a selection of our favorite places to go. We hope you have the opportunity to visit as many of them as possible.

Enjoy!
